Acqua Bistecca – Premier Washington DC Steakhouse with Michelin-Caliber Dining

We celebrated our anniversary at Acqua Bistecca and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The food was outstanding, from the appetizers to the main dishes and dessert. The cocktails were delicious, and even the coffee was perfect. The service was warm, attentive and truly elevated the night. We’re very happy we chose this restaurant. Absolutely recommended.

We came for our anniversary dinner and from the time we walked in the door the service and hospitality shown to us was impeccable. Our food from the house focaccia with spreads to the sweet corn agnolotti were wonderful. Our halibut and osso bucco entrees were even better. The restaurant surprised us with a Happy Anniversary card and our amazing waiter/server, Emerson, was so full of recommendations that were all spot on, and even surprised us with prosecco and a non-alcoholic spritzer to go with our dessert, for which they also provided a second off the menu dessert as well. Overall an outstanding evening that hit all the right notes for our anniversary! Thanks so much to the Acqua Bistecca crew!

Great ambiance, great menu and, excellent service. Charlie really made the restaurant live up to its Michelin quality origins. The bar alone is beautiful The dishes were excellent, from the simplicity of the Caesar salad to the complexity of the pasta, nothing disappointed. The steak 16oz for 75 is not a bad price and the lasagna was great. Handcrafted cocktails were also a big hit. Would highly recommend trying this place.

Acqua Bistecca is a great place for nice night out. While on the more expensive side the food is definitely worth the price and overall very reasonable. Service was amazing, we had wine specialist work through the wine list with us and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall amazing experience. Calamari is insanely good.

This was my second time here and this place deserves a Michelin. The vibe is cozy without trying too hard and the service moves at the right pace. I ordered the special and it was actually amazing. The pasta was rich, the seafood tasted fresh and everything came together the way you want it to when you’re paying for a good meal. The cocktails were on point again. They put real thought into them. The espresso martini was the perfect finish. Dessert was the part that got me. Those little sugar-coated bites with the berry compote were crazy good. Simple, warm and perfect with the drink. Acqua Bustecca is consistent, intentional and worth coming back to. I’d go again without thinking twice

Went last weekend with my partner and I'm still thinking about this meal! we were able to snag 5:30 reservations the same day, as they were completely booked the rest of the night. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very very friendly staff member who was pure joy (huge mood booster after driving an hour from Gaithersburg!)! They sat us immediately in our velvet chair/booth seat and I have to say, it's a small detail that may matter to no one else, but it was very comfortable compared to normal dining chairs. It definitely provided the feeling that I wanted to stay longer, while eating and drinking more! They offer a prefix menu for around $85 pp (which is a great price!) but we decided to build our own prefix by getting one thing from each section on the a la carte menu. We had the olive tapenade focaccia, the tempura calamari, the pasta e fagiole (lobster soup), campanelle verde, and the swordfish piccata. EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS AMAZING. I would orderevery one of those again. I really love when I come across a restaurant where I loved multiple dishes. Like, sure. Enjoy, yes. But to actually love every dish is hard to come by! Oh and the affogato ice cream cubes at the end were a perfect finisher When I return, I will be ordering in the same manner but trying a whole new round of items from the menu and I'm so excited!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Italian gem! We opted for the experience (tasting) menu, and every course was outstanding. The Caesar salad was perfectly crisp and flavorful, the mushroom pasta was incredible, so rich, earthy, and just delicious. We added the lasagna, which was delicious and comforting, and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender. My swordfish was perfectly cooked, and we finished with the Il Limone and chocolate tart (the team graciously made an exception since we didn’t want donuts), both desserts were divine. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made the evening feel special. And the bar deserves its own shout-out - such a beautiful setup, creative cocktails, and a great atmosphere. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish, can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely amazing! The two of us tried the experience menu. Pros - taste was just phenomenal, mostly. I'd say the Antipasti & Primi were all just perfect. Our server was very welcoming and attentive overall. The ambiance, interior was also great! Cons - The main course to us was not great, if not just okay. The steak was pretty tough that we had to chew A LOT before swallowing - but it wasn't because it was not cooked properly but more so of the meat parts selection. For us who don't typically have a large portion for a meal, the overall portion was a bit overwhelming. Last but not least, the service seemed a bit unorganized overall - server & people who bring foods, take out plates, and pour water were all different but they all seemed a bit busy/confused while serving us. I think this could improve as the restaurant gets settled, tho. Still, so worth visiting, and highly recommend all menus in the antipasti and primi. SOOO GOOD!
